Unscrambled was born out of the belief that paid search campaigns could be run more effectively and could deliver better results and greater profits for clients.
The biggest problem faced by clients’ was that in order to get a second opinion on their paid search campaign, they needed to ask a competitive agency take a look. With a vested interest, a competitive agency could not always be relied upon for a constructive and unbiased view. Unscrambled was set up to give clients an independent, unbiased second opinion.
Founded in 2010 by Matt O’Brien, previously managing director of CheezeDMG, a leading paid search marketing agency, Unscrambled has worked with a number of blue chip clients, included the London School of Economics, The Open University, TUI Travel Group and South African Airways, helping them to achieve better results from their paid search marketing.
Unscrambled is an independent company backed by private investment.
Matt
Matt has over twelve years experience within the digital marketing sector and is widely regarded as a leading expert on paid search. His client experience includes retail, charity, recruitment, healthcare, travel and personal finance.
Prior to founding Unscrambled, Matt was Managing Director of Cheeze Ltd, a UK top ten digital direct marketing agency and part of the DMG group. He joined the company in 2000 as a media buyer and over the next ten years worked with the board to build the agency’s paid search billings to £10 million. He joined the board of Cheeze Ltd in 2008 and the board of DMG in 2009.
Matt is married, has two daughters and lives in Suffolk.

Peter
Peter has worked in digital marketing since 1998 working in both client and agency roles. His specialism is in paid search but he has also managed display, social media and video campaigns on behalf of clients.
His sector experience includes travel, personal finance, retail, leisure goods and charity.
Peter has worked for a range of agencies including Mindshare where he headed up a team of paid search specialists looking after American Express, Ford, Mazda and Post Office.
Peter has also held a number of client side roles. He started in the world of digital as Online Marketing Manager at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines where he project managed the first eCommerce website for the company and developed their first digital marketing campaign. More recently, and prior to joining Unscrambled, Peter was Online Marketing Manager at ProBikeKit where he managed their paid search and affiliate marketing campaigns.
Peter lives in Ipswich and is a long suffering Ipswich Town fan!
